The victim killed in a shooting in Treme on Tuesday morning was an assistant principle at Salmen High in Slidell, NOLA.com reports.
The St. Tammany Parish School District said the victim, Alvin Garabold, had worked at Salmen since August 2023.
The school had grief counselors on campus Wednesday to talk to students and Garabold's co-workers.
Garabold was fatally shot in the 1500 block of Gov. Nicholls Street around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
