A junior high student on the Northshore faces juvenile charges after the sheriff's office says the child made a "hit list."
"Deputies were notified Monday (November 6) evening after a student at a Madisonville-area junior high school reported to school personnel that another student had prepared a 'hit list,'" according to Sgt. Suzanne Carboni with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
Investigators issued a summons for the Madisonville-area 14-year-old, who was booked with a charge of menacing and released to his parent's custody.
"We will continue to work with our schools to investigate any and all threats on our schools and the students who attend them, and enforcement action will be taken when warranted," said Sheriff Randy Smith.
