Today is Groundhog’s Day, and while Punxsutawney Phil says six more weeks of winter, Audubon Zoo's ‘Parish’ the nutria, says warmer weather is on the way.
Parish made her Groundhog Day prediction Tuesday morning with the help of her animal care team.
Zoo care takers say she quietly crawled out of her den at the Zoo and did not see her shadow, unlike Phil.
Parish's message was clear: New Orleanians should expect an early spring and should get ready for some sunshine and good times!
