Slidell police arrested a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputy and booked him on criminal property damage and illegal use of weapons charges. Police say Bradley Garrott shot up a storage unit Monday night and caused thousands of dollars in damage.
"Around 11:00pm, Slidell Police were dispatched to a report of gun shots at Extra Space Storage" on Northshore Blvd., said Daniel Seuzeneau with Slidell Police. " For unknown reasons, 29-year-old, Bradley Garrott, fired a Glock 9mm into the business, damaging glass and several storage units."
Seuzeneau says Garrott remained on scene and was arrested without incident.
An official with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says they have terminated Garrott's employment.
