Oktoberfest will return to the Deutsches Haus in New Orleans this October.
As many music and food festivals around the city will not have their festivals in 2021, festival organizers say they are moving forward with their plans to host the beer and food event at the Deutsches Haus in New Orleans.
“We’re planning for it, and moving full force to have it,” Deutsches Haus general manager Jack Gonzales told The Times-Picayune | The Advocate. “The questions we’re handling now are how to make sure we do it safely and in accordance with whatever city directives are in place at the time.”
Gonzales says he and the organization’s board are hopeful the later date will work in their favor when it comes to giving the current COVID-19 surge, time to subside.
Oktoberfest 2021 is set for the weekends October 22 through Nov. 13 but things could change depending on the current covid situation.
Organizers say they are hopeful the late October dates will work better for their event as other events rescheduled are stacking up for the fall.
