A building on the unoccupied Hope Haven campus in Marrero caught fire Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to the blaze around noon.
Jefferson Parish councilmember Deano Bonano said the building was fully engulfed in flames before firefighters were notified.
Bonano said the building was not in use, and it is unknown if anyone was in it at the time.
