The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Lower Ninth Ward.
Around 4:18 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 1200 block of Lamanche Street between Marais and Urquhart Streets.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult male victims suffering from an undetermined number of gunshot wounds.
One of the victims died at the scene.
The second victim was transported to a local hospital.
