A weekend crash near Houma leaves a Chauvin man dead and a woman in critical condition.
According to a Louisiana State Police spokesperson, the crash happened around 9 a.m. Sunday on East Main Street near Terminal Road.
Troopers say the woman's crossed the center line and struck a car being driven by Yassir Parrales head-on. Parrales died at the scene despite wearing a seatbelt. The woman was airlifted to a hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
