The New Orleans Police Department announces they have arrested one man and are searching for a second man wanted in the investigation of several armed carjackings in New Orleans as well as in Jefferson Parish.
Police say the arrested Joshua Dean and have an arrest warrant for the second suspect, Robert Garret.
Detectives determined that the following armed carjacking incidents were related:
- Armed carjacking on February 9, 2021 in the 8100 block of Green Street.
- Armed carjacking on February 9, 2021 at the intersection of Cohn and Pine streets.
- Armed carjacking on February 10, 2021 in the 5500 block of Vicksburg Street.
- Armed carjacking on February 13, 2021 in the 3600 block of State Street.
Additionally, NOPD and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives determined that an armed carjacking on February 12, 2021 in Jefferson Parish was also connected to this series of incidents.
Dean was arrested on February 15. Garrett is wanted and still at large says police.
