An early-morning shooting in Algiers has landed a man in the hospital.
According to an NOPD spokesperson, that shooting happened just after 1 a.m. Friday on St. Nick Drive near General Meyer Avenue.
According to the NOPD's Major Offense Log, the victim walked out of his house and noticed four people in an SUV parked near his car. The victim approached the SUV and asked if he could help the people inside. The suspects then drove away, and, in the process, one of the people inside the SUV shot the man. An EMS crew took that victim to the hospital.
Police have identified the victim only as a 24-year-old male. Investigators have not released any details about the four suspects.
