Gunfire shortly before 1:00am in Gentilly sent a victim to the hospital.
"The NOPD is investigating an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred in the 5600 blk of Press Dr.," NOPD released.
It happened about a block from Pontchartrain Park.
"Initial information shows at least 1 victim sustained at least one gun shot wound to the body."
Cops say EMS transported the adult black male victim to a local hospital.
No initial word in suspects of motive.
