The Pelicans play their home opener tonight, hosting the San Antonio Spurs.

The Birds look to bounce back from their season-opening loss in Memphis tonight when they tip off against the Spurts at seven, and it's a beehive of activity at the Smoothie King Center.

"This is the time of year where things really ramp up," said Evan Holmes, the general manager of the Smoothie King Center and Caesar's Superdome. "You have tenants across the street from one another, you have all the concerts picking up."

Smoothie King Center exec Evan Holmes says in addition to Pelicans home games, the concert schedule is picking up, with Sir Paul McCartney, Li'l Wayne, Billie Eilish, and the Jonas Brothers set to perform to packed houses before the end of the year.

The Pelicans tip off vs. the Spurs tonight at 7 p.m.
