The Woodland Industrial Park area of Plaquemines Parish lost water pressure, prompting a precautionary boil advisory.
According to Plaquemines Parish, the water pressure problem happened due to New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board work.
The parish said a contractor for the Sewerage and Water Board removed a backflow preventer in the area, but did not notify Inframark, the Plaquemines Parish water system operator.
The boil advisory is in effect until further notice.
