A fight between pr-Palestinian and pro-Israel demonstrators broke out today on Freret St. at the Tulane campus.
Tulane referred to it as rally "off campus" on a public sidewalk. The university reported two students injured, and two arrests made.
New Orleans Police and Tulane University Police responded to the incident.
Video from the scene shows pro-Palestinian demonstrators on Freret St. in a red pickup truck.
One appears to attempt to set an Israeli flag on fire, until someone else with an Israeli flag ran up to stop it.
That's when the scuffle began.
"We are increasing security and assisting our students in any way we can," the university said in a statement. "The campus has been secured and our students are safe."
