The New Orleans metro is beginning the new week with some showers, while the Northshore is staying dry.
A band of showers has been hovering over the Louisiana Gulf Coast all morning, and those showers will linger until around the noon hour. Those showers are brining cooler temperatures, with highs staying below the 70° mark on Monday.
We'll dry out for tonight and into tomorrow. High temperatures return to the mid- to upper-70s for the remainder of the week. Rain chances return to the forecast on Wednesday, but those chances will be at or below 20 percent through the weekend.
