A movie studio out in New Orleans East? New Orleans' own movie star Anthony Mackie has taken the first steps towards making it happen according to a report by nola.com.
The report states Mackie dropped 2.25 million dollars or more Friday on a 20-acre lot at I-10 and Read Blvd. on the lake side of the interstate. The plan appears to be to start a movie studio under Mackie’s East Studio LLC company. Additional land nearby could also be purchased.
