The police have not revealed the cause of the 32-year-old's death, but do not suspect foul play to be involved.

Snead, who was reportedly working in Austin at the time, finished his college football career at Ole Miss after transferring from Texas in 2006, following his quarterback battle with Colt McCoy.

At Ole Miss, Snead led the Rebels to back-to-back Cotton Bowl wins under head coach Houston Nutt, and finished his career in Oxford with an 18-8 record.

In those two seasons, Snead threw for 5,394 yards and 46 touchdowns, with 33 interceptions, and a 55.3-percent completion percentage.

A Stephenville, Texas native, Snead was also one of the most decorated quarterbacks in Texas High School Football history, leading the Yellow Jackets to the 4A State Semi-Finals, where his team would fall to Matthew Stafford and the eventual champion, Highland Park Scots.

Before signing with Texas, Snead was ranked as the 37th overall player in the nation, the second-ranked dual-threat quarterback, and the sixth overall player in the state of Texas by 247 Sports.

Snead was never able to put together a pro career following the inconsistent end to his college career but was still considered one of the most successful quarterbacks in Rebel history.
