New Orleans rapper Mysitkal was arrested in Louisiana and charged with sexual assault including first-degree rape on Sunday.
As The Advocate reports, Michael Tyler, 51, was booked into the Ascension Parish Prison on first-degree rape, felony domestic abuse by strangulation, simple robbery, and criminal damage to property. Tyler, is known for his 2000 hit single “Shake Ya Ass”.
Nearly 20 years ago, Tyler was convicted of sexual battery and cleared of a separate rape and kidnapping allegation forma n incident in 2016. He also pleaded guilty in 2003 to a sexual battery charge where he served six years in prison.
