A rideshare driver was carjacked by two men the driver picked up for a ride.
The New Orleans Police Department says it happened on Sunday at about 8:44 p.m. in the 7100 block of Hickory Street not far from Tulane University’s Yulman Stadium.
An initial police report says the rideshare driver picked up two men and drove them to the planned destination.
One suspect produced a firearm and ordered the victim out of the 48-year old man’s vehicle.
The suspects fled in the victim’s 2014 Gray Toyota Corolla. Police are searching for the suspects.
