A joint investigation by WWLTV and Nola.com revealed disturbing allegations that the husband of a St. Martin’s Episcopal School board members husband was engaged in video voyeurism involving juvenile, foreign students.
The allegations against Patrick Goodman resulted in the board forcing his wife, Amy Goodman, to step down from her position last week.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff is investigating the claims that were first brought to light by a Honduran student who reported discovering a hidden camera in their room at a River Ridge residence.
The student was staying with the Goodmans as part of a St.
Martin’s program that brings Honduran students from a partnering school to the US for a year. The Goodman’s reportedly have hosted other Honduran students in the past, including one last year.
WWL TV reports the Goodman’s attorney confirmed that deputies, while executing a search warrant, seized digital equipment from the household. The attorney, Jeffery Smith, told WWL TV that the couple had cameras that could show “their whole house, even their living room.” No further comment was provided.
