When I talked about the problems with the Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. were the result of the contractor the Trump Administration had hired to do the job - I was not attempting to bash President Trump - I was just being honest.
During my show on WWL-AM-FM-WWL.com New Orleans - I was confused about the blame game the president was playing about left-wing vandals causing the damage to the Reflecting Pool when it appeared obvious that the construction crew that was hired made a huge mistake when they poured gallons upon gallons of hydrogen peroxide into the water to get rid of the algae. Hydrogen peroxide is a paint thinner and it appeared to have caused the American Flag-blue paint on the button to peel. There were numerous sections of peeling. With all that I had read about the problems with the paint peeling - I said that it did not seem to be the work of left-wing vandals as the president suggested - it appeared to be incompetence on the part of the construction crew.
As I pointed out - the president cannot accept any possibility that he is wrong about anything and the president made the Reflecting Pool a big story in the news for days while Iran should have been the main thing on the his mind.
When Attorney for the District of Columbia - Jeanine Pirro - announced charges were being filed against 67-year-old former Olympian David Hern - Pirro said that Hern “forcefully and violently” tore up parts of the floor of the pool. When the charges were announced - I voiced my deep skepticism that the charges were legitimate and that there was actually evidence to support the charges.
Since I commented on the bogus charges against David Hern - the Department of Justice and Jeanine Pirro have announced that the charges against Hearn have been dropped. Apparently - as I suggested - there is no credible evidence that Hearn was responsible and the announcement of the dropped charges comes with an admission that the damage to the Reflecting Pool “was the result of flawed installation by the contractor.” Exactly what I said on his show.
President Trump is livid and angry at Pirro claiming that “To me, it was a pure case of vandalism” Trump wrote. Well, of course, the president does not want to be wrong - but the facts remain - charges against David Heran have now been dropped because there is no evidence that supports the president’s opinion that it was the work of left-wing vandals. The fact is - the president hired the wrong construction team for whatever reason and rather than accept that reality he put the blame on fictitious characters.
For those who believe that I am out to criticize the president - this is a perfect example of how many things transpire. The point is that I was honest about my opinions and like so many times in the past - I have been proven to be right - which negates the idea that I am out to bash President Trump. The truth is important and the truth is often a casualty in the conservative media-echo chamber. All I try to do is present an honest side.
If you voted for President Trump and you love this president - that’s fine - but don’t assume that I am out to criticize the president. I express my honest opinions on my show and those opinions are based on facts and common sense. The assumption that I am out to condemn this president every day is absurd. But there are those who have been convinced that anyone who does not fully support this president is somehow a left-wing radical. That’s a convenient narrative for many - but it’s not true and this example about my honest opinion of the facts surrounding the Reflecting Pool demonstrates that I was right about the fault being with the construction crew and not some fantasy boogie man.
