Though denial runs deep among MAGA-Trump supporters - the truth that cannot be denied is that many Americans do not like - or support - President Trump. At a Trump rally in A suburb of Wichita, Kansas - one protester shouted out, “I f**king hate you!”
President Trump’s speech that lasted over an hour and a half was interrupted several times by protesters and the president was quick to make the false claim that they are paid protesters. Trump makes this claim to support the idea that he is so loved and so popular that only someone who is paid would dare interrupt his speech.
In a recent blog posted on Scoot On The Air FaceBook - InstaGram - and SOTA Substack - I pointed out that Trump’s claims of paid protesters and hecklers is based on zero evidence. There was - and still is - NO credible evidence to support what the president is saying and even the president offers no evidence to support his own claim.
Why is Trump campaigning heavily in a bright red state?
Kansas is so red that a Democrat has not been elected as a senator since 1932 - when Herbert Hoover was president. Right now, the Republican candidate - Sen. Roger Marshall is surprisingly in a close race with Democrat - Adam Hamilton - who is the pastor of the largest megachurch in the state. According to a recent poll - Hamilton is at 45% and Marshall is at 43% - which is a statistical tie. The fact that the Senate race between a Republican and a Democrat in the red state of Kansas is one of the shocking reminders that President Trump is hurting his own party.
Trump invites an admitted sex offender to speak
Last night at a rally speech in the Wichita area - President Trump invited rocker Ted Nugent to speak. “I’m not gonna let my beloved United States of America continue down the toilet for my grandkids,” Nugent told the rally crowd.
President Trump said of Ted Nugent - “He’s been a friend of mine from the beginning. He’s a man that gets it. He’s a guy with common sense. He’s smart as hell, actually. He plays the game.”
Does President Trump know that Ted Nugent wrote a song about having sex with underage girls? Nugent’s song - “Jailbait” - contains the following lyrics:
Well, I don’t care if you’re 13
You look too good to be true
I just know that you’re probably clean
There’s one lil’ thing I got do to you.
(Chorus)
Jailbait you look so good to me
Jailbait won’t you set me free
Jailbait you look fine, fine, fine
And I know I’ve got to have you in a matter of time.
So tell your mama that I’m back in town
She likes us boys when it’s time to get down
She’s got this craving for the underage;
I just might be your mamas’ brand new rage.
In a 1998 interview with VH-1 - Ted Nugent admitted that he had sex with underage girls, saying: “I was addicted to girls. It was hopeless. It was beautiful.” Nugent even admitted that he got approval from the parents of the underage girls.
What would the reaction be from Trump supporters if a Democrat admitted to the aforementioned behavior? Outrage!
The president’s support and friendship with Ted Nugent inspires questions about the president’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Honestly, as a popular radio personality - I have had a few situations where fathers or mothers tried to present their young daughters to me - but I totally rejected any opportunities. I believe that Ted Nugent was given opportunities - but the difference between me and Nugent is that I rejected completely an opportunity to be with an underage girl. I guess I wouldn’t fit in with Trump’s friends.
We are defined by the friends we keep. If President Trump is friends with Ted Nugent then it’s possible they share common interests. But maybe Trump doesn’t even know this about Nugent and is that a fair excuse for inviting Nugent to speak at your rallies? The information about Ted Nugent is not that difficult to find and if the president really cared about associating with the right people of strong character - he would not talk about Ted Nugent as a “friend.”
As I have said on my talk show on WWL in New Orleans - I am not certain the polls reflect reality and the predicted “blue tsunami” may or may not occur. We will match the results with the polls before the election and determine how accurate the polls were for the midterms.
Though it seems unbelievable to Trump’s hard core supporters - the woman show shouted “I f**king hate you” does reflect the way many Americans feel. But that’s not surprising considering that those who love Trump would have wanted to shout those words at President Biden or President Obama. They were “hated” too.
