Presidential primetime addresses are rare and are usually made to announce crucial events - like - war, a terrorist attack, a national disaster, a major public health issue, or something of great significance. Presidential primetime addresses are not supposed to be used to make politically-charged speeches.
President Trump has given few clues as to exactly what he will be talking about in his primetime address tonight - but he has hinted that he will focus on free and fair elections and election fraud surrounding the 2020 Election. In 2020 - Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden and to this day President Trump has not been able to process this well-documented fact.
Prior to tonight’s primetime address to the nation - it is important to review some truths and some facts about the president and the 2020 Election. Unable to believe that he lost the election - President Trump went on a full-blown crusade to overturn and actually falsify the results in a way that would show he beat Joe Biden. But Trump’s efforts failed. This is an old and worn-out topic - but it appears we are going to relive the torture because Trump is so fragile that he still cannot accept the facts of his defeat.

Should President Trump rehash the tired, old and completely unsubstantiated claim that he won the 2020 Election or if he tried to renew the claim with more ridiculous information - it’s important to remember some things.
Once respected lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell suffered significant legal consequences for their parts in pushing Trump’s unfounded claim that he won the election. Giuliani was suspended from practicing law in New York and Washington, D.C. Powell PLEADED GUILTY in Georgia to illegal access to voting machines.
The Fox News Channel was punished for promoting outright lies about Trump winning the 2020 Election and settled a historic settlement by paying $787 million to the Dominion Voting Systems. Fox News executives and some hosts ADMITTED to pushing false voter fraud claims orchestrated by Donald Trump. Many Trump aides lost credibility and were enforced to deal with legal challenges that included criminal indictments in Georgia over the fake electors' plot to overturn the election results.
Trump’s plot to overturn the legal 2020 Election results:
Trump and his advisors make up a fake electors’ plot to overturn the election in 2020. The president - unable to conceive that he actually lost to Biden - tried to remain in power by creating a scheme to present fake certificates of ascertainment to falsely claim that Trump won the Electoral College vote in critical states. The goal was to give the illegitimate certificates to then-Vice President Mike Pence hoping that he would count the fake electoral college ballots and not the authentic ballots. That would have overturned the election results that made Biden the winner.
Trump’s attorneys Kenneth Chesebro and John Eastman developed an obscure legal theory that the vice president has the constitutional right to change official electors with alternates - which would change the outcome.
Dozens of Republican state officials and Trump associates were indicted in 4 states for their alleged participation in the plot by June of 2024. They testified that Trump knew of the fake electors plot. Giuliani was a key figure in the plot and he organized the plot in 7 states. Trump, Eastman, and Giuliani talked to about 300 Republican state legislators and tried to convince them to hold special legislative sessions to replace the legal Biden electors with fake ones. Trump then tried to convince the Justice Department to lie and announce that it had discovered election fraud. It was a lie and Trump knew it was a lie.
A list of fake electors was handed to Vice President Pence minutes prior to the vice president actually certifying Biden the winner. The Jan6 rioters stormed the Capitol in an effort to disrupt the joint session of Congress and stop the certification of the 2020 election results. Their actions were based on the false claim of voter fraud - which Trump knew was fake.
In the event President Trump attempts to resurrect the false claim of voter fraud and declare again that he won the election - it’s important for Americans to be reminded of facts about the false claim from President Trump.
The idea of trying to force this unproven claim of winning an election he lost - it’s important to try to understand the mind of any individual who is not capable of accepting defeat in any way. Trump has been called a narcissist. This is the definition of a NARCISSIST: In severe cases - constant refusal to admit mistakes, coupled with projecting blame on others, can be a symptom of a deeply fragile sense of self.
Nothing - including this blog - will change the minds of the most adamant MAGA supporters. It is not my goal to change those minds. It is my goal to remember the truth that can be forgotten in the fog of the issues Americans deal with in everyday life.
If you see picture of Donald Trump when he was a young, rich, swinging player and compare those pictures to what Trump looks like today - it is easy to see how this man might be disgusted with who he is today and that frustration can manifest itself in low self-esteem and an inability to accept any flaws or to accept oneself as who they are now. Secure and confident individuals possess the ability to accept their mistakes and flaws and learn from them instead of acting like they don’t exist.
