Crews are looking for a person who witnesses say appeared to be drowning in Lake Pontchartrain near the University of New Orleans.
A man fishing reported seeing someone in the water, then going under Sunday afternoon.
New Orleans Police called in a dive team.
They also issued a drone dispatch notification.
"NOPD will be deploying a drone in the 1800 block of Lakeshore drive for approximately 3 hours, in support of an ongoing investigation."
