Less than one hour after a man was shot and killed in Algiers, the New Orleans Police Department is investigating a second shooting on the Westbank that happened about a mile away from the first shooting.
The latest shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on Tullis Drive near Lennox Boulevard.
An NOPD spokesperson says the victim, a man, was shot multiple times. An EMS crew took him to the hospital. The spokesperson did not say if this shooting is related to the earlier shooting on Woodlawn Drive that left a man dead.
