New Orleans Police Homicide is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Seventh Ward.
Around 4:27 p.m. Fifth District officers responded to a medical call in the 2300 block of St. Anthony Street between Tonti and Rocheblave Streets.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered an unresponsive female at the location.
Upon further investigation it was determined the victim had been shot.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
