A line of heavy rain is slowly moving across parts of south Louisiana and into the metro New Orleans area. A flash flood watch is in effect until noon Wednesday.

WWLTV’s Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “The threat for heavy rainfall will persist through Tuesday as a slow-moving line of storms moves across the area.
Additional storms could develop Tuesday afternoon and evening. The flooding threat will linger into Wednesday although it's unclear where the heaviest rain will fall. The severe weather threat remains low, but a few strong storms are possible.”
