A 19-year-old Slidell-area man faces a charge of terrorizing for a social media post the suspect called a joke, but authorities say is not funny.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says it was notified Monday morning of a video posted to social media of a Landon Woodside holding an assault rifle with the words "next school shooter in the making."
Deputies arrested Woodside. Investigators say he told them he was "just joking."
"Making a threat, even in a joking or casual manner, whether in person or on social media, will not be tolerated," said St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Randy Smith. "Each of these situations must be considered potential threats and have to be taken very seriously."
Deputies booked Woodside into the parish jail on one count of terrorizing.
