A large police presence descended on the busy New Orleans intersections of S. Claiborne and S. Carrollton avenues Wednesday afternoon. Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies chased a stolen vehicle into that area.
The driver crashed, and the suspects then fled on foot into the neighborhood.
New Orleans Police and Louisiana State Police are also on the scene. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office helicopter is assisting in the search.
NOLA.com reports two suspects have been arrested, and two more are being sought.
