The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says an argument led to a man getting shot in his arm Tuesday morning near the Tammany Trace bike trail.
"A man was riding a bike on the Tammany Trace near the intersection with Third Street when another man exited a vehicle and approached him, and the two men got in an altercation," said Lt. Suzanne Carboni with the sheriff's office.
"At some point during that altercation, the man who exited the vehicle pulled out a firearm and a shot was fired" Carboni said. "The biker sustained a non-life-threatening wound to his arm and was transported by emergency medical personnel to an area hospital."
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (985) 898-2338.
