Police in New Orleans say at least three people were shot on a busy downtown street Friday night.
The NOPD reports that three people were shot in the 800 block of Canal Street. Two of the victims arrived at a local hospital via private vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police reported the shooting at around 10:20 pm on Friday.
The investigation is ongoing and few details are available at this time.
This latest shooting comes on the heels of what is shaping up to be a very violent end to the week in New Orleans.
Over the past three days, at least nine people were shot and three dead in three shootings across New Orleans.
