Shots were fired at a Good Samaritan during an attempted carjacking mid-day on Esplanade Avenue.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, a 33-year-old woman was driving in the 1100 block of Esplanade Avenue when the suspect flagged her down for help. Police say the woman pulls over to help but the suspect then pointed a gun at the woman and demanded money. The woman dropped her belongings and called for help.
That is when police say the suspect fired shots at the woman’s vehicle before fleeing the scene.
