An alleged altercation leads to shots fired in the parking lot of Oakwood Center shopping mall in Terrytown Friday afternoon.
As The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says it happened about 3:20 p.m. outside the mall between Old Navy and JCPenney.
Few details are available but the newspaper reports that at least two men were involved in an altercation when one of the men shot at the other man.
The victim’s condition is unknown at this time. As the newspaper reports a witness, leaving JCPenney with her daughter heard the gunfire and ran together to her car.
"I just screamed for my daughter to run. We both ran for the car, and we heard more pops," the witness told the newspaper.
