New Orleans' fascination with the Wild West was on display last night as a half-dozen people were felled by gunfire.
The first one was on Palmetto Street in Mid City, right near Xavier University off the I-10.
Two men were shot in the incident, both made their own way to a local hospital.
Their condition at this time is unknown.
Another took place on South Prieur Street at the intersection with Martin Luther King just after 5pm.
Two more victims were hit with gunfire.
Both were transported by EMS to a hospital.
Early Sunday morning a man was shot in the Desire, off Oliver White Avenue and Benefit Street.
It was later determined to have taken place at the intersection Morrice White Avenue and Abundance Street.
The victim was transported to a local hospital.
A woman was the victim of a shooting in New Orleans East, it took place at the corner of Bullard Avenue and Hayne Boulevard.
This incident occurred just before 3am.
NOPD says these all appear to be individual crimes, no connection to the shootings have been determined.
This comes on the heels of a deadly Saturday where five people were killed in homicides all over the city.
