Police in Slidell say speed may be a factor in what led to a crash that killed a Lacombe man.
The crash happened Tuesday on Airport Road near Meadows Boulevard in Slidell.
An initial report from the police says he driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old, Colin Vivien was allegedly driving his 2010 Cadillac CTS at a high rate of speed when he lost control and hit a utility pole. Viven was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene according to police.
Police believe impairment could be a contributing factor in the crash, and toxicology results are pending.
