A woman and a girl are in the hospital after an all-terrain vehicle crash near Abita Springs.
That crash happened around 4 p.m. Monday on United Church Road.
According to St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lieutenant Suzanne Carboni, the woman and the girl were riding the ATV when they ran off the road and hit a tree. Both the woman and the girl were thrown from the ATV. Carboni says the woman was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, while the girl was airlifted to another hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
