St. Tammany Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating an apparented attempted murder-suicide that happened Friday morning at a home in Goodbee.
The incident happened around 8 a.m. at a home on LA 1077.
Deputies say a man shot his live-in girlfriend, who then escaped through a window to seek help at a neighbor's house. The girlfiend was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
When deputies arrived at the home, they found the boyfriend suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He later died at a hospital.
Authorities say more details are pending the investigation.
