Three people are facing child sexual exploitation charges following a joint investigation by state and federal law enforcement officials.
According to Louisiana State Police spokesman William Huggins, authorities arrested John Anthony Campanella, 24, Mandeville; Ross Brignac, 36, Mandeville; and Stuart Stringer, 41, Denham Springs, following that investigation. They are all facing computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles charges. Huggins did not provide further details about the allegations against the men. However, Huggins said the case remains under investigation.
According to Louisiana Revised Statutes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor is defined as an adult contacting someone under the age of 17 or someone posing to be under the age of 17 via electronic means "for the purpose of or with the intent to persuade, induce, entice, or coerce the person to engage or participate in sexual conduct or a crime of violence . . . or with the intent to engage or participate in sexual conduct in the presence" of a minor. Such communication also qualifies as indecent behavior of a juvenile under Louisiana law.
Huggins says the Mandeville Police Department, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation all worked together to investigate the case.
