Working on a new lead, detectives with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office were able to crack the case of the stolen hog and return the animal to its owner months after it was taken.
The tip led the TPSO to a residence on Brickyard Road off of Highway 51, just northeast of Independence.
Once on the scene, law enforcement was able to secure the pilfered piggy safely and transport it safely to its rightful owner.
No word on whether the welcome home party was hog wild.
