A Pearl River teen is facing terrorizing charges after St. Tammany Parish sheriff’s deputies say he made threats against his former school on the internet.

Deputies arrested Webster Bourgeois, 18, and booked him into the parish jail on Saturday.

According to a sheriff’s office spokesperson, the Pearl River Police Department contacted the sheriff’s office after they were made aware of the incident. The spokesperson says a parent notified school officials about the social media posts, in which, deputies say, Bourgeois “(threatened) the safety of the school.”

Under Louisiana law, Bourgeois faces up to 15 years in prison if he is convicted.
