A street repair project on Orleans Ave. not far from Broad St. has traffic down to one lane, making the pre-positioning of Endymion's massive floats a traffic headache.

WWL-TV reports most floats were able to make the tight squeeze, but the Pontchartrain Beach float, one of the super-krewe's biggest, couldn't get through.

It caused a backup of floats all the way to Municipal Auditorium.

Traffic is already more intense than usual as the city prepares for its biggest carnival events leading up to Fat Tuesday.
