An autopsy by the New Orleans Coroner’s Office reveals 21-year-old Marquise Jones was shot to death before his body was recovered from Lake Pontchartrain.
Jones was last seen leaving a house party in the 2600 block of Onzaga Street on February 25, according to authorities. NOPD officers found his car abandoned in a parking lot in New Orleans East. His body was later found in the lake.
Because of the gunshot wounds the autopsy revealed, Jones' death is now being investigated as a homicide.
