Cops on the Northshore responded to online threats against Covington High School today.
"We want to inform you that there has been an increased police presence at Covington High School this morning due to a reported social media threat of violence directed towards the school," Covington PD posted.
Investigators say they picked up a child as part of the probe.
"We want to assure you that a juvenile subject has been taken into custody for questioning, and the police will remain on-site throughout the school day as a precautionary measure."
CPD says police are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of everyone at Covington High School.
