The New Orleans Police Department’s Hit and Run Fatality Section are investigating a Traffic Fatality that left a 32-year-old woman dead.
It occurred just after midnight at the intersection of Canal and South Liberty Streets.
The victim was attempting to cross Canal Street when she slipped and was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling southbound on Canal Street.
Emergency Medical Technicians transported the victim to a local hospital where she later died.
The unknown vehicle fled the scene.
