With Super Bowl week rapidly approaching, officials with Caesars Superdome are excited about what's coming.
Of course there's money to be made, and Superdome and Smoothie King Center executive Doug Thornton says the projections are already giving them reason to smile.
"With the hotel rates being what they are, and a four-night minimum, we're expecting a really good bump for the entire city," he said. "Everybody should do very well."
And he says the infrastructure work that has been happening around the city will soon be completed, so the only headaches left should be the security-driven traffic restrictions around the stadium.
Super Bowl Week begins Monday, February 3, with the game on Sunday, February 9.
