A SWAT standoff with a man in New Orleans ends with his arrest.
Police apprehended Noble Thomas, 36, after he barricaded himself in an apartment on Monday.
An NOPD report says, “At around 10:30 a.m., First District officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of North Dupree Street. Upon arrival, the officers were notified that Thomas fired a weapon and was possibly still inside of the location. NOPD’s Special Operations Division officers were notified and soon after a SWAT Roll was declared.”
Officers attempted to call Thomas out of the home but with no success. Police say around 4:30 pm, Thomas fled the apartment but officers apprehended him at the intersection of Mandeville and N. Johnson Streets.
Police booked Thomas with one count of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated criminal damage to property, and one count of illegal use of weapons.
