A Baton Rouge man was apprehended Tuesday after allegedly stealing items from the LSU basketball team’s locker room at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center hours before the Tigers’ Top 25 showdown with conference rival Kentucky.

Sean Green is alleged to have entered the “locker room areas” at some point before 3pm on Tuesday, making off with clothes and an iPhone, according to an LSU spokesperson.

Green was nabbed by LSU police just a few blocks away from the Louisiana State University campus near Alaska Street.

With the suspected culprit in custody, the 21st-ranked Tigers would go on to beat #16 Kentucky 65-60 later that night. Tari Eason led LSU off the bench with 13 points, one of three Tigers to reach double-digits.

With the win, LSU improved to 13-1 on the season.
