A man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in St. Rose.
St. Charles Parish sheriff's deputies say it happened around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday on Turtle Creek Lane in a neighborhood just off River Road.
According to investigators, Marco Henderson, 16, shot Keron Briggs, 25, multiple times in the chest and leg during an argument. A witness told dispatchers that they found Briggs inside a car near the corner of River Road and St. Rose Avenue, several blocks from where the shooting allegedly happened. An EMS crew took Briggs to a hospital, where he later died from his wounds.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Henderson Friday afternoon and booked him on one count of second-degree murder.
The case remains under investigation.
