A 19-year-old is facing guns, narcotics, and animal cruelty charges after St. Tammany Parish sheriff's deputies say he fed drugs to a duck.
Detectives say they found video on Christopher Havers's cell phone showing Havers giving fentanyl tablets to ducks near a local hospital. Deputies used that video to obtain a search warrant, which they say led them to finding 2,600 fentanyl tablets and five guns--two of which were stolen.
According to a St. Tammany sheriff's spokesperson, deputies arrested Havers after he led them on a foot chase through his neighborhood.
