Authorities in Terrebonne Parish say a traffic stop in Chauvin led to the seizure of heroin and the arrest of two men.
That traffic stop happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday on Bayouside Drive at LA 58.
According to Sheriff Tim Soignet, deputies pulled the car over after a noticing it had a broken tail light. When deputies went to speak with the driver, they smelled cannabis and initiated a search. That’s when, Soignet says, the deputies discovered heroin, weed, and a handgun inside the vehicle.
The two men in the car, Sean Francis and Michael Ross, are facing possession with intent to distribute and guns charges. Both remain in jail without bond.
